The Scottish Housing Regulator is undertaking a Thematic review of Tenant Participation. In this important thematic, we intend to outline what tenants and residents can expect from their landlords and the outcomes that landlords should seek to deliver, along with examples of positive practice and success.
You can read about how Thematic work ties into SHR’s strategy here: Our Strategy April 2023 | Scottish Housing Regulator
We have commissioned TPAS Scotland to gather baseline information on current Tenant Participation activities across Scotland. To begin this work, TPAS Scotland will shortly be issuing a survey to all Social Landlords in Scotland. The link to the survey will be sent by email from TPAS to the email address that we hold for you as the Senior Officer of your organisation or Housing lead within a Local Authority.
To get as clear a picture as possible on how Scotland is performing on Tenant Participation, we ask that you take the time to complete the survey and return by the deadline date issued with the survey.
In addition to the survey, TPAS Scotland will be hosting a series of online focus groups for Tenants, at least one of these will be specifically aimed at the Gypsy/Traveller community and their representatives.
The focus groups will capture the views of your tenants and residents in relation to Tenant Participation. We are particularly interested in hearing from harder to reach groups and would ask that you encourage attendance where possible. We would be grateful if you could advise tenants, tenant groups and representatives to contact enquiries@tpasscotland.org.uk or call 01415523633 to register their interest as places will be limited.
